These versions are now obsolete. Try the production version instead!
The new Bitscope Digital Sampling Oscilloscope is available in two versions: BSDemo and BSDso.
BSDemo will run on any PC that has a 200 MHz or better x86 compatible CPU with 32 MB RAM. You can download BSDemo for Windows or Linux free of charge and run them with without Bitscope hardware. The demo synthesizes a range of typical signals which are processed and displayed in the same way as the real DSO application. BSDso is our new DSO (based on BSDemo) that runs with the Network Bitscope (BS220N) or serial Bitscopes (BS220S, BS120S) or older BitScopes that have been upgraded for use with the Bitscope Network Adaptor (BNA-01), USB/Serial convertors or stand-alone serial connections. BSDso is now available for Windows and Linux. We seek your feedback about this software. We want to know if you have any problems running it, what you like about it and what you don't. Please send any comments you have to DSO feedback. News... 2003-08-01 BitScope DSO Beta Release Our thanks to everyone who provided their valuable feedback on the preview release. The preview has now expired and the first production beta release will be posted shortly. In the meantime, we've updated the preview here if you want to keep using it. 2003-04-26 BitScope DSO PR #3 Update3
We have significantly improved the BSDso-PR3 trigger and modified trigger control panel (as shown on the right). Each trigger source (LOGIC, CHA and CHB) now has its own setup and all sources operate in one of three modes: L (level), R (rising) and F (falling). The L, R and F buttons on the right select the mode. The new R and F triggers together with the holdoff control (the ADJUST button and slider at the bottom of the panel) provide very precise control over when the trigger fires allowing rock solid triggers for repetitive waveforms for signals ranging from 10 Hz to 10 MHz. See the release notes in the download package for full details. 2003-04-11 BitScope DSO Screenshot We're working on the DSO documentation right now, but here's a screenshot in the meantime showing some of ALT mode and the POD inputs are selected, CHA and CHB both active, the display in ANALOG mode and trigger on CHA. The cursors have been adjusted to show the time and voltage range of the steps in the waveform, and ANALOG mode shows an enhanced display exposing any glitches or noise that may be present on the signal. In this case you can see a glitch on the fourth "step" in the waveform. This is just one example of DSO use. 2003-04-10 BitScope DSO PR #3 Update 1 We've uploaded an update for the windows version of BSDso-PR3. This fixes some problems running on Windows XP and some internationalization issues preventing correct operation in some regions in all versions of Windows. Thanks to all for the feedback, keep it coming ! We're working on the next update and will post it for both versions next week.
2003-04-08 BitScope DSO Preview Release #3 BSDso-PR3 is our third (and final) preview release and is now available for Linux and Windows. This release adds mixed signal (logic + analog) display and supports BS120 or better serial and network BitScopes "plug and play". Don't have a BitScope to use to try out BSDso ? Use ours :-) If your PC is connected to the Internet, BSDso will connect with a real BS220N BitScope we've configured with a WavePOD, live on the Internet !
2003-04-04 Bitscope DSO Preview #3 due next week Thanks for all the feedback ! Preview release #3 is scheduled for release next week. Versions for both Linux and Windows will be available and this release works with all VM-120 (or later) serial or network BitScopes . Subject to your feedback on this release, we will enter the software into beta test in preparation for final release. In addition to numerous bug fixes, this revision adds new features including MIXED mode (ie logic + analog), enhanced resolution variable aperture and noise/glitch displays.
2003-02-14 Bitscope DSO Preview Release #2 BSDso-PR2 is our second (network only) preview release of the Bitscope DSO for Windows. Of special interest in this release the unique trigger view which allows triggering on analog channel A/B or the logic inputs -> This release also supports dual timebase, dual trace (ALT/CHOP) operation, level or edge triggers with variable filter and delay, variable aperture capture, vertical and horizontal cursors with frequency display, waveform snapshots, AUTO trace modes, "out of range" indication and more.
2003-02-05 Network Bitscope DSO for Windows BSDso-PR1 is our first preview release of the Bitscope DSO for Windows. This is beta software and while it's pretty much complete, it contains bugs. You'll need a Network Bitscope to use this preview release. However, we plan to release a Serial Bitscope version in a week or so. If you want to see what it looks like before then and don't have a Bitscope, try the demo. 2003-01-20 First of all, thanks for all the feedback from those people who took the time to try out BSDemo. It's taken longer than we'd planned, but we're now preparing the beta release of our new network enabled Bitscope DSO applications for Windows. It's due on Friday 31 January 2003 ! 2002-02-08 We've updated the Windows version to fix a bug when running under Windows XP. 2002-02-06 The first release of BSDemo. There will be subsequent releases as we refine the design based on your feedback. You can check back here for notification of updates ! |
