All trace modes capture data from the digital inputs. Variations described in the following pages for each trace mode apply to the analog data. The exceptions to this rule are variations that affect the sample clock which is used for both analogue and digital data sampling.

Various delays calculated in the following sections are expressed in units of PIC Instruction Cycles PIC which are 400 nS duration (ie 4 PIC Clocks).
